Other People's Gardens

It never rains but it pours

Off to a funeral. Not my mother's. Back Wednesday or Friday.

Blooming marvellous

(Random walkies in Woy Woy)

Golden Wattle

Golden wattle's blooming on the Peninsula.

Geranium blooming

Despite all the rain there's been enough sun this winter to keep the flowers blooming all over the Peninsula.

One thingy

This is a thingy.

Three thingies

Three thingies. May be triffids.

Banksia flower cone

Now flowering on a street tree near you. Banksia, variety unknown. The spines turn grey then fall off to reveal the seed cone.

Had no idea aloe had flowers like that - mine have never bloomed.

The golden wattle picture knocked my socks off - incredible composition. You just get better and better.

I wish my aloes looked like that, but I suppose British weather is not conducive to monstrous triffid-like growth.

Thank yer, Stitchwort. Every blogger needs a Plant Recognition Team.

Neither did mine, Suzanne. It bravely gave its life to relieve a nasty case of sunburn and I've never got round to replacing it.

Device dear, you need to fly off to sunnier climes. Pommyland seems to do nowt but rain, flood, explode and rain.

Thank yer, BTW, Suzanne.
