Taken Friday night at the Australia Day thingy in Woy Woy. It was overcast all day then the clouds started clearing late afternoon and by fireworks time the sky was clear and there was enough breeze to gently drift the smoke away. Brilliant.
Had a few mates over for a barbie on the balcony. We laid about all afternoon drowsy and replete with sausage and beer. The first firework went off with a bang and woke us up. We trotted down there and got off a few hasty snaps from Railway Street. This was the only decent one.
How was your Straylya Day?

Oooh, pretty. I filled my camera with half-arsed attempts at firework photos before giving up and taking a video instead.
i could only see the higher fireworks from my place i couldnt be bothered going up there to see them, the last time i went up there to watch them they werent on for some reason
Hmmm... Sausage then fireworks, eh?
You lucky git!
Fuckkit - Link us to this video then.
Didn't think of doing video myself. Though with my unsteady camerwork it's probably just as well.
Michael - Yeah, I remember that failure to materialise. What was it for?
Device dear - *posting sausage* You'll have to make yer own fireworks. Perhaps tuck a sparkler behind each ear. Very now.
Fuck, I'm tired. I'm off.
P.S. Don't eat it all at once.
P.P.S. Fuckkit, where'd you sit for the Perth fireworks?
i have no idea why the fireworks werent on that year I know it wasnt because of the weather from memory it was a clear night no wind at all
Maybe their cheque bounced.
Hi All,
Think the fireworks were cancelled the year before last, from memory - barge sunk!
so thats what happened!!!!
You're dead right, Anon.
I downed quite a few reds, on an empty tummy, as the only fare available where I was, seemed to be Battered Savs - how very Aussie.
Aesthetic - Very Aussie.
Battered savs are a bit suss. Could be anything in them. Beaks and arseholes probably, as my grandfather used to say. That and Peter's Pies are full of flies.
